Filling System Piston filler. It has been tested and is working well.
Color The body and cap are made of a black resin and the trim is solid sterling silver. The cap has a domed piece in its top. The clip is in the shape of a snake (a symbol of wisdom), with the tail end curled around the top of the cap; the snake has ruby eyes. As with all of the pens in this series, Agatha Christie's signature is etched on the pen, and is located at the top of the cap to the right of the clip.
Nib Fine 18k two-toned nib, according to the box. It continues the snake theme with a head etched on the nib and masked in rhodium. We generally find Montblanc nibs to run narrow. The nib is slightly springy.
Condition Near mint condition, in box with paperwork. There is light handwear and microscratching visible under magnification, but in hand the pen looks fantastic and like new. It ships in its original book-shaped box with sleeve and paperwork.
