Manufacturer and Year Morrison Fountain Pen Company, New York -- late 1930s or 1940s. Morrison was one of the better third tier pen makers.
Length The fountain pen is 5-3/16" and the mechanical pencil is 5"
Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filler. The pencil takes "thick" or 1.1mm leads and uses a twist mechanism. The mechanism is utilized by moving the cone. It is working well.
Color Black with rounded caps. 1/40 14k rolled gold plated trim (marked on pen). 1/4" cap band on pen and pencil.
Nib FINE Flexible 14k Morrison NY nib. Not full flex, but pleasing to write with. Please see writing sample.
Condition Superior condition. This is a velvety smooth, shiny black set that is unique and pleasing in its rounded design. The pen is in superior condition with very light scratching on the cap and barrel. The cap band has some light scratching and a few tiny splotches of plating wear. The clip and lever are beautiful. The pencil has light scratching throughout. The rounded top has a spidery scratch emanating from the very top. The cone has freckles of pitting. The cap band has some tiny bubbles. The clip is nice. The imprints on both pieces are clear.
