Product Description
Type Lever fill fountain pen
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Morrison Fountain Pen Company, New York (probably 1920s-30s). Morrison was one of the third tier pen makers, but this pen is from one of the nicer lines we've seen, so we suspect this was top of the line.
Length 5-1/16".
Filling System The pen is a lever filler, which we have fully restored with a new sac. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Sterling silver filigree in a sort of floral design over black hard rubber.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE 14kt Morrison NY nib. The nib is smooth and bouncy, but there's no real flex.
Condition Excellent condition. There is light scratching all over the pen. The sterling overlay has shallow denting throughout, consistent with age and the softness of silver, but the surface looks nice and shiny in hand. There are some small areas of very light pitting on the filigree - an example is visible in the first photo, just below the "Sterling" mark. The clip looks great, with just some small touches of brassing around the top edge and on the ball end. The black hard rubber has light fading, but is overall in great condition. The section has some scratches from capping. No cracks, chips, or tooth marks. The imprints are clear. Ships in blue faux leather box. Some of the surface is scuffed away, but it's still is good condition.
