Color This is the Midori color, a lovely deep shade of green. Gold trim.
Nib Fine 14k Nakaya nib. A 14k Japanese fine is comparable to a Western extra-fine nib.
Condition Near mint condition in box. The urushi finish is perfect, as is the gold trim. The pen comes packed in the original softwood box, and rests on a red velvet bed in a blue and gold "kimono" sleeve.
The Naka-ai model is a collaboration between Nakaya master pen designer Shinichi Yoshida and Classic Fountain Pens' John Mottishaw. It features cone-shaped ends and a tapered body. The term "Naka-ai" means middle, or in-between, and this model fits nicely in the Nakaya lineup between the smaller Piccolo series pens and the longer Deskpen.
