Type Vintage French fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name Thje barrel is marked "NicÆa" but we don't know if that is the brand name. There's a 122 imprint near the end of the barrel. The nib is marked Depose 10 Paris.
Manufacturer and Year Unknown, probably from the 1920s.
Length 5-1/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the sac and cleaned and tested it and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber in an unusual pattern.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE 18k nib is smooth with nice tipping material remaining. Excellent flexibility. It's what we would call full flex, with very easy variation from a fine line to double broad under a light pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition, remarkable for its age. Very black. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The steel or chrome plated accomodation clip has some plating loss, but the rest of the pen is in remarkable condition.
