Product Description
Type Classic style fountain pen
Product Name We are judging this to be the older style faceted Paragon pen aka 557/F "Black", though it is not marked. (The 557 refers to the length and F refers to the facets.)
Manufacturer and Year Omas, Italy -- probably dating from the early 2000s based off of the clip and nib.
Length 5-5/8" -- this was the largest pen at the time and considered a Paragon model. It is smaller than the current Paragons which debuted in 2005, and a bit bigger than the current Milords.
Filling System Piston filler has been checked and is working well
Color A black barrel and cap made of natural cotton resin. The barrel and cap have "Hi-Tech" or a rhodium based trim and are 12-faceted. The barrel is unlabeled.
Nib 18k Medium nib with only slight spring and smooth like Omas is expected to be.
Condition Excellent + condition. A few light marks on the faceted resin, but no cracks or chips. There is some wear on the cap band and section band, but no brassing. The trim ring on the piston knob is a yellowish, so there is some plating wear there. Fully guaranteed. Ships in Omas Paragon box (not original to this pen), with a bottle of black Omas ink.
