Product Description
Type Vintage piston fountain pen, working perfectly.
Product Name Osmia Progress 94
Manufacturer and Year Osmia, Germany -- 1930s, guess based off of the clip.
Length 4-7/16".
Filling System Pump filler. We have tested it and it's working well (it had been restored when we got it.). It looks like a vacuum filler but you actually fill it by pulling the end piece in and out of the barrel until it sucks in enough ink. It is more similar to an aerometric filling system than a vacuum filler.
Color Red and black marbled with black end pieces and section. The middle of the barrel is a very dark red translucent portion with a grid pattern. Gold plated trim consisting of a clip and two narrow cap bands.
Nib 14k Flexible Extra Fine nib. An Osmia #4 nib is installed. It has great tipping and writes smoothly with respectable line variation. It is labeled EF near the piston knob. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The pen has some handwear and light plating wear but the imprints are crisp and the barrel transparency is perfect.
