Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1965-70.
Length 5-3/8", this is the first of the three versions of the Parker 45 Insignia and the thickest one. It seems fatter than other Parker 45s even though it is the same length.
Filling System Fountain pen takes Parker cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the installed Parker squeeze converter.
Color 1/10th 12k gold filled cap and barrel with black end piece and section. The gold filled pattern is grouped sets of lengthwise lines. The cap and barrel have conical tassies.
Nib EXTRA FINE 14k nib made in the USA. It's smooth and and a little springy. The section is labeled X and it seems to match the nib.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen has no cracks or personalization. The edge of the cap tassie is not smooth and the black end piece has bite marks. There are polishing marks and microscratches throughout that dull the general appearance of the pen but there aren't any real scratches or major plating wear. The clip has some plating wear on the edges. There's a nick in the edge of the collar/hood as can be seen in the nib photos. No dents. The cap imprint is clear.
