Condition Excellent + condition, in box, and with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny set in a classic color combination, and in a classic design. The fountain pen has some wear on the cap and barrel. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as some heavier scratching toward the end caused by posting. There is also some additional scratching towards the tip of the section. The cap has some slight shiny marks in the satiny finish. There is a bit of plating wear along the sides of the clip, on the spine near the top, as well as a tiny bit at the tip. The clip ring has plating wear on about half of the top edge. The pearlescent jewel looks fantastic. The mechanical pencil has light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The clip has plating wear along the sides, and there is plating wear around the top edge of the clip ring. The cap has some shiny spots and scratches, and two tiny, blue ink stains near the clip. The pearlized jewel looks good. The imprints on both pieces, including the date code, are clear. There is some very slight staining on the lining of the box, as well as on the outer surface, but overall it looks great.
