The section has scratching toward the tip. The cap has a a shiny mark caused by the end of the clip. There are some small spots of plating wear in the feathers of the clip, and the clip ring has some flaking plating which can be seen in the photos. The pearlescent jewel looks fantastic. The mechanical pencil has light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The clip has a bit of brassing on the very top edge, but otherwise looks great. The cap has some shiny spots and scratches. The pearlized jewel looks good. The imprints on both pieces, including the date code, are clear. There is some staining on the lining of the box, and handwear on the outer surface.
