Type Fountain Pen in excellent working condition.
Product Name Parker 51 Insignia -- (In 1957 the model name changed to the Parker 51 Insignia from the Parker 51 Signet.)
Manufacturer and Year Parker, most of the pen was made in Canada but the filling system was made in the USA -- 1960s, this is around the time that Canada stopped putting date codes on the barrels.
Length 5-1/2inches
Filling System Aerometric (squeeze filler ... press 4 times). It's marked Parker 51 on the filler.
Color The body and cap are gold filled. There is a steel clutch ring. The cap is marked 1/10 14K gold filled. This pen has the regular pearlescent jewel.
Nib The 14k nib is fine and writes very smoothly.
Condition Very nice condition. The pen has several dents on the barrel and cap. There is also some plating wear on the cap lip and clip. There are cap marks on the barrel from both posting and capping. No major scratches,no personalization.
