Type  Fountain pen with a squeeze "Aerometric" filling system.

Product Name  Parker 51 Mark IV, different from the Mark III because it has a metal cap jewel that protrudes more than the Mark III jewels. Sometimes called the second version of the Mark III.

Manufacturer and Year  Parker, made in USA – After 1973 (1973 is when the metal cap jewels were officially adopted).

Length  Full size, 5-5/16".

Filling System  Aerometric squeeze filling system. We've tested it and it's working very well.

Color  Navy blue body with a lustraloy, satin brushed steel finish, cap with a long arrow clip and a chrome plated cap jewel. The cap jewel is part of the clip and tassie.

Nib  MEDIUM gold nib is smooth with nice tipping. It's much broader than what we usually call a fine for Parker 51 nibs but is narrow when compared to modern medium nibs.

Condition  Very nice condition. No cracks or chips or deep scratches aside from a deep scratch area to the left of the underside of the nib (see photo below). General wear on plastic, but no cracks. There are very few shiny spots in the lustraloy finish, but no dents on the cap. The trim and imprints look great. It's working very well.

Payment Policy: Paying via Credit Card or PayPal are the only methods allowed for addresses outside the United States. Customers from the United States also have the option of sending a check, money order or cashier's check. Payment method is selected during checkout.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance. It is the responsibility of the customer to anticipate these costs and pay them when they are assessed by your country or postal system. We have heard that shipments valued at 50 EU or more get assessed fees in EU countries, for example.

UK customers please note: Packages valued at over $18 are subjected to both an administrative charge and a tax by UK customs and Royal Mail. Sorry, this is not something we can predict or pay in advance.
