Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker 51 Special. It has a steel nib and a filling system marked "Parker 51 Special," but it has a cap that probably came from a standard Parker 51 in that it does not have the black jewel we normally see with the Special.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1952-53, based off the lack of "Made in USA" imprint on the cap and the lack of barrel imprint.
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system, tested and working very well.
Color The color is black. It has a Lustraloy or brushed steel cap and a pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib FINE steel nib.
Condition Very nice condition. The cap has some damage on the bottom part, some deep scratching and several dents. There is one small dot of pitting to the left of the clip. The clip has some plating wear along the edges. The cap jewel looks good. The end of the barrel has some scratching and scuffing, likely from posting the cap. The rest of the barrel has has microscratching but is still fairly shiny and smooth with no cracks.
