Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Parker "51" Aerometric .... this has a non-standard barrel with a jewel-tassie.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA and Argentina; Ariel Kullock, Argentina -- Assembled in Argentina using Parker new old stock parts and re-manufactured parts. The cap is from a Parker 51, as is the filling system and nib. We think the barrel was probably made by Kullock because Parker 51 aerometrics did not have barrel jewels.
Length 5-5/16" (the cap fits loosely on the clutch ring, but the cap stays on)
Filling System Aerometric Squeeze Filling System. Tested and working well.
Color Clear orange colored barrel and section with a brushed metal cap, gold blue diamond clip, and double pearlescent cap jewels.
Nib FINE gold nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The section and barrel look great with just some light scratching, a bit more on the section than on the barrel. The cap looks good with a visible brushed texture. There are a few shiny or darker spots. The cap band area has a 1/8" long "crack" in one spot (visible in the first photo) - our speculation is that it's possibly the result of stress from inserting the inner clutch assembly. The clip has plating wear and brassing, and the blue diamond paint is a little thin. The clip ring has plating wear. Both the cap and barrel end jewels appear to be reproductions, and they both look excellent. The barrel end tassie is brassed. The Parker imprint on the clip is clear. There are no other imprints.
