Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric "Fantasy"
Manufacturer and Year Parker made the clip and filling system, and also possibly the metal jewel. We think Ariel Kullock made the cap and barrel. The nib was originally a Parker nib, retipped with a massive stub.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system. Tested and working well.
Color Blue white ebonite barrel, section, and cap. Gold-filled arrow clip. Steel cap jewel.
Nib 1.6mm Stub Gold Nib by Greg Minuskin. Very wet, and it's rather particular about the writing angle and does best when square to the line of the page, i.e. not rotated. If you have a really upright writing angle, these can be difficult to write with as the tip is a bit obscured. Please see writing sample.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, dents, or dings. The main flaw is the gold filled trim -- the arrow clip and clip ring have brassing and plating wear. This is a beautifully colored pen with lots of swirls and movement and shine. The section has a bit of chipping along the feed and moderate scratching in the same area. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching. It must be said that it is difficult to see scratches because of the color pattern. The top steel cap jewel looks great. There are no imprints.
