Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil working well
Product Name Parker 51
Manufacturer and Year Parker, Made in USA - circa late 1940s-50s (we can't see a date code, but it's possible that the imprint has just worn away, and sometimes pencils didn't have imprints).
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System It takes 0.9mm (or "thin") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. We'll include a small pack of leads with the pencil.
Color Midnight Blue barrel with a 1/10 16k gold filled cap in a pattern of groups of 4 even lines up it, with gold plated trim and a pearlescent cap jewel and a split arrow clip.
Condition Excellent condition. There's a very small dent in the upper cap (see photos), and some small scratches on the barrel. The color appears to have darkened a bit, and we thought it was black at first glance. There's some plating wear on the edges of the clip. There's some light wear on the cone as well, but no brassing. It's working well, with no cracks, chips, or personalization. The eraser is like new and may be a replacement, becuase they are usually dried up and this one is rather fresh.
