Color Bright turquoise barrel. The sterling cap is etched with a design reflecting the shape of the Empire State Building. Also known as the Icicle design. It has pearlescent cap and barrel jewels and 23K trim including the classic blue diamond parker clip.
Nib 14K fine nib.
Condition Very nice condition, in box. No chips, dings, or dents. This is a brightly colored, very attractive pen. There are a few hairline cracks at the top of the barrel where it meets the section, none longer than 1/8 on an inch. Otherwise the barrel is shiny and new looking. We have priced the pen accordingly, about $250 lower than we would a pen without these fine cracks.
The cap has some light plating wear on the cap band and some little dots of wear at the very top of the cap. The cap has some light handwear. The clip is beautiful as are the blue diamond and the pearlescent cap and barrel jewels. These pens are almost impossible to find without cracks in the barrel, and usually they extend to the lip of the barrel and make it impossible to screw on the barrel securely. You will want to be careful when screwing on the barrel after filling, as over-tightening can increase crack and we cannot give a refund if the pen has been damaged. This would not be a good pen for you if you grip the pen on the barrel side of the clutch ring as this will put pressure on the cracks, however it should be fine if you grip on the clutch ring or on the section. The imprints are clear.
