Product Description
Type Vacumatic filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Parker 51, Vacumatic.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in UK -- 1948 (the date code clearly shows 8). We didn't pull the nib to check the imprint, but we believe all components were made in the UK. The cap isn't marked, but we believe it to be correct as English P51 vacs never ot the Blue Diamond clips.
Length Full size, 5-5/16 inches.
Filling System Vacumatic filling system. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well.
Color Black colored barrel with a lustraloy steel cap and clip, and a pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib Medium gold nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Very nice condition for this classic full sized pen. The lustraloy cap has some small dots of pitting, especially to the left of the clip. There are three miniscule dings on the right of the middle of the clip. There are a few light scratches toward the end of the barrel. There are two small deep marks and a deep scratch slash across the middle of the section. The clip looks great. The cap jewel is a bit rough around the edges. No cracks, dents, chips, or major scratches. The imprints are clear.
