Color Cordovan Brown body, 1/10 14k gold filled cap in a pattern of straight lines alternating with wavy lines, a less than common early cap. Blue Diamond clip is gold filled. Pearlescent cap jewel. (This cap is similar to first year caps, it just lacks the high imprint.)
Nib Nice and smooth writing medium-fine gold nib. There's lots of iridium.
Condition Excellent pre-owned and restored condition. The body is polished and free of cracks and personalization, and only has light scratches consistent with usage. Good imprint. The clutch ring is a tiny bit pitted, but that doesn't affect the functioning of the pen. There are some ink stains at the end of the section, on the "hood" over the nib. The cap is excellent with only a small amount of light scratches, and one or two very shallow impressions that are easy to miss.
