Product Description
Type Restored vintage fountain pen
Product Name Parker 51 Vacumatic
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1945 (The date code is a clear 5 with two dots).
Length Full size pen, 5-1/2"
Filling System piston/plunger (Vacumatic) filling system. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working well. It has the later vacumatic plastic plunger system which is the correct plunger for the Parker 51 vacumatics.
Color Black body with a 1/10 14k gold filled cap. The cap has a grouped lines pattern and a pearlescent cap jewel. The clip is a blue diamond clip.
Nib MEDIUM gold nib is smooth with lots of tipping material. It has mostly symmetrical usage signs. This is a vintage medium, and produces a line similar to a modern fine.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap has a small group of shallow dents to the right of the clip and some microscratching throughout. The barrel has handwear and the plastic plunger has ambered. None of the wear is really noticeable, the pen looks really sharp in the hard. The imprints are legible and there are no cracks or major scratches. There is very little plating wear in addition to some cap marks on the barrel. It has been fully restored and is working very well.
