Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker 51 Vacumatic
Manufacturer and Year Parker - 1946. The barrel says made in Canada and there is a date code of 6 with two dots. The arrow clip has the long set of feathers, which in the US would appear on vacs and aerometric fillers circa 1948, but we've come to expect some variances when it comes to Canadian models. The black jewel is something we see on Parker 51 Specials, so it could be a transplanted cap or jewel.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Piston/plunger (Vacumatic) - we restored the filling system with a new diaphragm and will guarantee it for a year.
Color Cedar blue body, brushed steel "Lustraloy" cap. Shiny chrome clip. Black cap jewel.
Nib FINE gold nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dark, shiny pen with a silky smooth cap and with a classic Parker 51 Vac appearance. The barrel has a few long scratches apparently caused by the cap lip. Otherwise, there is just light scratching. There is a slight shiny mark going across the arrow end of the clip. The clip is excellent. The top of the cap at the clip ring has some tool marks. The black jewel has one scratch at the very top. The imprints are clear.
