Color Black colored barrel with a Lustraloy steel cap that has a shiny steel band at the cap lip, gold plated Blue Diamond clip and clip ring, and a pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib BROAD STUB gold nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. We don't think this is a factory original stub nib, we suspect it was made by someone like Greg Minuskin. See our writing sample in the photos.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap and barrel have light scratching. The section hood and end of the barrel have typical scratches from the cap lip. The section hood also has some deep tool marks, and we've included detailed shots of these in the photos (this also suggests the original nib was swapped out for this stub). The clutch ring has scratching, and some of the gold plating in the middle is polished away. The cap has moderate scratching, and near the nib there are some areas where it looks like someone scratched in some numbers or other writing. In hand it mostly looks like light scratching, but under magnification we can make out a few numbers and what might be letters, but it's hard to make much sense of them. The clip has plating wear along the sides. The clip ring has some plating wear and dots of pitting on the top. The Blue Diamond looks great. The pearlescent jewel has a tiny bit of mottling, but otherwise looks great. The imprint is clear, and the color of the body is excellent. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
