Color 23k gold-plated in a matte finish. The cap and barrel are etched with an excerpt from the proclamation of accession of Queen Elizabeth II of England. The cap finial and band, as well as the end finial and section are all shiny polished gold. There is a 1.5 carat amethyst set into the top of the cap (the crown, if you will).
Nib MEDIUM 18k nib.
Condition Excellent condition in box. The shiny portions have microscratching and polishing marks, and the upper cap band has some scratching around its perimeter. There are small spots of plating wear on the section, especially close to the nib, as well as some ink remnants. There are some surface scratches on the amethyst, visible under magnification. The rest of the pen looks good. The imprints are clear.
The pen comes in a regal purple resin box, lined with dark purple satin. Underneath the platform are booklets with information on the edition and Parker's warranty information. Note that the pen platform has a spot for a medallion - it's missing in the pictures because the adhesive failed, but we found it in the informational booklet. There is also an outer cardboard box, which has a fair bit of shop wear. Both sides of the main metal box seem to have a place for an oval disk, but only one side has a disk.
