Product Description
Type Fountain pen with button filing system. Uncommon model, this is the first one we've seen.
Product Name Parker Duofold Canada, as marked on the barrel. Canada made some unique Duofold pens. This one has a slip cap and silver colored trim.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in Canada -- 1940s. The nib was made in the USA.
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Button filling system, restored with a new sac.
Color Gray cap and body with silver colored trim. The clip is simple and the pen is a slip cap. The body is similar to the Parker VS but the cap hasn't been seen outside of this model. We didn't photograph the barrel imprint, but it reads, "Made in PARKER DUOFOLD Canada."
Nib Fine Flexible 14k Parker nib. The nib is long and the tines spread far enough for line variation. The tipping material looks nice. It has a date code of 3 with two dots.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or major scratches. There is a little plating wear and some bite marks on the blind cap and the barrel near the blind cap. The clutch band works well to secure the cap. The most worn portion is the threads beneath the blind cap that go around the aluminum button. The area just above the threads is chipped. The pen is working well.
