Filling System The fountain pen takes Parker-style cartridges and converters. A Parker piston converter is installed. The mechanical pencil takes 0.9mm leads that extend by twisting the gold top mechanism. There is a large eraser under the twist top.
Color Black and Pearl cap and barrel with gold plated trim. The fountain pen has pairs of gold plated bands around the nib collar, the end of the barrel, and near the cap lip. The cap lip pair has one narrow band and one 1/8" band. The clip has the original clip tag with the Parker Duofold/Made in UK label. The section has three gold bands, two near the feed and one just above the threads. The mechanical pencil has a gold cone, a black band and two gold bands next to the cone, and a long gold twist cap on the top end of the body. The caps have an emblem in them and simple etched arrow designs in the clips.
Nib BROAD 18k nib is marked 18K and 750. The feed has an B on it to verify that it is a broad nib.
Condition Near mint condition, in black wooden box, with paperwork and with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings in either the fountain pen or the mechanical pencil. These are beautiful, lustrous, and luxurious writing instruments with pearlescence. The fountain pen cap and barrel are in beautiful condition. The gold bands, including the cap bands and the clip have light microscratching. The clip has the original clip tag with the Parker Duofold/Made in UK label. The section looks great although the gold bands all have light microscratching. The mechanical pencil body is perfect. The gold twist top, cone, gold bands, and clip all have very light microscratching. The imprints on both pieces are clear.
