Nib BROAD 14k nib is smooth. (The early Centennials had 14k nibs, but you usually see 18k nibs on these pens. 14k nibs were apparently offered, but phased out in 1989.) It is marked 41 on the feed, and we've found some posts on Fountain Pen Network that suggest this means it's a broad nib, but it looks like a medium-broad to us.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a large, bold, shiny pen in a great color pattern. There is a scratch on the side of the cap finial, and we've included a close-up of that area in the photos. The blue marble areas of the cap and barrel look great, with just some microscratching. The gold trim looks quite nice, with some light scratching but no signs of plating wear or brassing. The imprints on the cap are readable with magnification.
