Type Vintage Desk Pen with Base
Product Name Duofold Jr
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA -- late 1920s-early 1930s. No date code.
Length The round base has a diameter of 3-1/4", and the pen is 7-3/16" long. The pen is the smaller of the two Duofold desk pens, and fits the pen holder.
Filling System Button filler, restored here at PSP with a new sac.
Color The porcelain base is a black disk with a smaller (1-3/8" dia.) red disk on top. The base is only about 1" tall, and the trumpet adds 2-1/2" to the total height. The pen is black hard rubber.
Nib FINE 14k nib. It is smooth and firm.
Condition Excellent, the base looks great. There's a "Parker Made in USA" sticker attached to the edge. The pen has light to moderate scratching, and the last half inch of the tail is slightly bent. The barrel color looks fantastic with no cracks or issues. The black hard rubber section has some fading. The center of the imprint is faded, and only the left and right thirds of it are legible.
