Color "Blue Mosaic" body with platinum plated trim. The barrel is a geometric pattern of blue, black, and white pearl rectangles. It has black end pieces, two cap bands, and a platinum Duofold logo at the cap end.
Nib Medium/Broad Italic 18k nib. The 98 on back of the feed generally refers to a 14k Fine or Heavy Italic nib, but these pens all had 18k nibs after March 1989. This is the "Banner" style nib.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box with paperwork. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully colored, shiny pen, with a unique geometric pattern of blue, black, and white. The barrel has light microscratching, and some very small scratches near where the cap lip hits. There are some very faint marks on the section; the trim band near the nib looks good. The end finial has very slight scratching. The cap has light microscratching. The double cap bands have microscratching in the center of the bands. The clip and clip ring have light microscratching. The Duofold disc on the top of the cap looks great, and the logo is crisp. The imprints are clear. The inner box has some wear on the corners. The outer cardboard box has shop wear and some tearing along the flaps.
