Product Description
Type Modern high end fountain pen.
Product Name Duofold Mosaic Special Edition.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in UK -- 2002 (the date code is A.II which means 2002 or 2012 but this is definitely a Mark II model, so it's from the earlier date).
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System The pen comes fitted with a Parker piston converter. The converter can be removed to use Parker style cartridges.
Color "Red Mosaic" body with platinum plated trim. The barrel is a geometric pattern of red, black, and white pearl rectangles. It has black end pieces, two cap bands, and a platinum Duofold logo at the cap end.
Nib Medium Italic 18k nib. The 94 on back of the feed generally refers to a 14k Medium Italic nib, but these pens all had 18k nibs after March 1989. This is the "Banner" style nib.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box with paperwork. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully colored, shiny pen, with a unique geometric pattern of red, black, and white. The barrel has light microscratching, and a very few small scratches near where the cap lip hits. There are some very faint marks on the section; the trim band near the nib looks great. The end finial has very slight scratching. The cap has light microscratching. The double cap bands have microscratching in the center of the bands, especially on the lower band. The clip and clip ring have light microscratching. The Duofold disc on the top of the cap looks great, and the logo is crisp. The imprints are clear. The inner box has some slight wear on the corners. The correct outer Parker Red Mosaic cardboard box looks good. Ships with booklet, polishing cloth, and Parker Red Mosaic box.
