Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Parker Duofold Quality "DQ" pen with a raised reverse trim band.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- Circa 1924, 1924 is the only year the DQ imprint was formally found on barrels.
Length 4-9/16", this was the shorter Lady size DQ before they added Junior and Senior sizes to the line.
Filling System The fountain pen is a button filler. It has been restored with a new sac.
Color Solid black ebonite pen with grouped lines pattern. It has a raised 1/8" cap band and silver colored "reverse" trim which includes the ring top. We call it reverse trim because the model officially had gold filled trim.
Nib Fine 14k nib. It is smooth and firm. No line variation. It is a Parker Lucky Curve #2 nib with a P imprint and a Lucky Curve feed that includes the full hooked portion that protrudes from the bottom of the section into the sac.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are no cracks and it has a legible, though partially worn, imprint. The patterning is strongly delineated. There are bite marks in the blind cap and near the ring top of the cap. The cap band has polishing marks. The cap ring moves well. The blind cap fits flush against the barrel. The pen has been fully restored and is working well.
