Product Description
Type mechanical pencil
Product Name Parker Duofold Sr. (marked on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1920s
Length 5-9/16"
Filling System Uses 1.1mm (aka "Thick") lead, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. It can have an eraser beneath the cap but it has to be extra large. There is an eraser currently installed, but it is very old and fossilized.
Color Parker "Big Red" style. Bright red orange permanite with gold filled trim.
Condition Excellent condition. The pencil has a few noticeable signs of wear, but looks good in hand. The top piece is partly squished down, and we've tried to highlight this area in the pictures. There are also some small dents on the sides of the end piece. There is brassing on the high points of the cap. There is plating wear along the sizes of the clip, which also extend to the clip ring, and also brassing on the ring. The barrel has microscratching, but is mostly fairly smooth. The imprint is slightly worn but still legible. The pencil is working well.
