Product Name Duofold New Standard
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in England -- 1946 - 48. There's no date code, but the button filler was changed to aluminum in 1948.
Length 5-1/4 inches long.
Filling System Button-filler. We've replaced the bladder, tested it and it's working well. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Dark brown with gold plated trim and a black cap and end jewel. 1/8" wide cap band with a lined triangles pattern (which looks sort of like this: ////\\\\////\\\\).
Nib MEDIUD open nib is marked Parker Duofold 14k Pen N. We believe that the N indicates that the nib was made in Newhaven, England.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny dark brown pen that has decent color consistency. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as from posting as well as moderate wear. The cap has moderate scratching. The cap band has a thin layer of plating wear and a bit of pitting along part of the bottom edge. The clip has plating wear along the edges and light scratching. The clip ring has plating wear along the ridged edges but it otherwise looks nice. The top black jewel has a few scratches and the end jewel has one deep scratch. The imprints are clear.
