Product Description
Type Vintage Vacumatic-filling fountain pen.
Product Name Duofold Vacumatic, aka "Duovac" -- Junior model (about the same size as a major, but with no Blue Diamond and with two thin cap bands).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1941 (the date code is a clear 1 with one dot). Nib is from 1942.
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Vacumatic "Speedline" filler. We've restored the filling system with a new diaphragm and it's working perfectly.
Color Blue and grey (alternating with dark transluscent stripes) body and cap, with gold plated trim, two thin cap bands, and a black cap jewel.
Nib FINE gold Parker Pen nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It's got a little semi-flexibility to it, with easy line varitation from fine to a small broad. The nib says "Parker Pen Made in the U.S.A. 2"
Condition Excellent condition. There's some brassing on the sides of the clip, as well as the tassie ring. There are some micro-scratches on the cap and barrel, some noticeable ones are ones that span the bottom of the barrel just above the removable back to access the vacumatic button. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is very crisp and readable, and the barrel clarity is good. It's fully restored and working very well.
