Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA (1991-92) -- The ballpoint has date code U for 1991 and the mechanical pencil has date code IIIA for 1992.
Length The pen is 5-1/4", while the pencil is 5-1/2".
Filling System The pen takes Parker style ballpoint refills and a working one is installed. The pencil takes 0.5mm leads which it extends lead via the cap actuated, or "repeater" mechanism (you click down the top piece, just like most modern pencils). A packet of leads will be included.
Color Sterling silver "cisele" which is a pattern of small squares outlined in black. Gold plated trim. The ballpoint pen still has the original clip tag showing the make/model/description/and price information.
Condition Excellent condition, in box, with paperwork and with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a lovely classic set that is shiny and elegant. The ballpoint pen still has the original clip tag showing the make/model/description/and price information. The little squares are nicely outlined in black and most of the silver is shiny. There is some moderate tarnishing especially along the left side of the clip and a little bit of tarnishing elsewhere. The cap band has tarnish and plating wear. The clip seems to have picked up some of the tarnish on the top sides. The cone has some light tarnishing on around the edge nearest the body but otherwise it is beautiful. The mechanical pencil squares are also nicely outlined with moderate tarnishing on the cap and light tarnishing on the cone portion of the body. The cap band looks nice except for a darkened area. The cone has very light microscratching. The clip has darkening on the left upper side and across the top; it otherwise looks excellent. The top actuator has some very light microscratching on the very top. The imprints on both pieces are clear.
