Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name "Fantasy" by Ariel Kullock using modern Duofold parts
Manufacturer and Year Parker and Kullock -- circa late 1980s-1990s (the pen uses parts from a Modern Duofold, with a shiny steel overlay, gold trim, and a Blue Diamond clip that dates to the 1940s.)
Length 5-1/2" and similar in dimensions to the Parker 51
Filling System The pen comes fitted with a Parker converter. The converter can be removed to use Parker style cartridges.
Color At first sight, you see mostly shiny steel with gold-plated tassies and clip. After removing the cap, we see the cap threads from a Blue Marble modern Duofold International. Blue Diamond clip is from an earlier Parker. Steel jewels at both ends, with a barrel tassie that looks like brass. The cap band also looks to be brass.
Nib FINE 18k 750 nib is marked F on the feed. This is the early "Arrow" style nib. This is a full, unmodified Duofold International section.
Condition Excellent condition. There is light handwear, and microscratching and polishing marks throughout. There is some light corrosion on the trim ring nearest to the nib. There is a line of scratching about 1/2" from the end of the barrel, caused by posting the cap. There is a similar ring near the front of the barrel from capping. The barrel end jewel has some tiny little dents in the surface. The cap has some tiny dots of scratching near the top. The clip is largely brassed, with gold plating only remaining near the top; the Blue Diamond looks good. The cap tassie has some touches of brassing. Cap jewel looks fantastic.
