Product Description
Type button fill fountain pen
Product Name Duette Sr. (also referred to as one of the Thrift Time or Depression pens) ... to make it more confusing, the Canadian Senior pens were called Premiere (marked on the barrel)! The Senior is a little longer than the Junior and is rather fat.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, Canada, 1937 (date marked 17)
Length 4-3/4"
Filling System This pen is a button filler. We've restored it and it works well. We will guarantee the filling system for a year, but honestly, it should last a good deal longer.
Color Dark grey marble, gold trim, one cap band.
Nib Canadian "Parker Fountain pen" nib is in excellent condition, with lots of tipping material. Medium with some flex and line variation, not true flex but easy flex for every day. See writing sample.
Condition Very nice condition for this uniquely marbled pen with a dark hue. We're not sure if this is the correct clip screw as it is rather small and black in color. The US version of this model had a thin cap jewel that was the name color as the rest of the pen.
The cap and barrel have moderate scratching. The end of the barrel has the more moderate scratching and the top of the barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. There are also some long, thin scratch lines on the barrel. The cap has a series of thin cracks along the lip with heavy scratching at the top of the cap. The cap band has plating wear around the edges. The clip has serious plating wear and pitting. The imprint is clear.
