Type Vintage button filling fountain pen.
Product Name Royal Challenger.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1937 (the date code on the barrel is a clear 27).
Length 4-13/16", this is the Slender size, the smaller of the two sizes
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Silver color is a grey marble pattern with strips of a herringbone with black lines running down it. Nickel plated trim with three thin cap bands and a dagger style clip called the sword clip. The blind cap and both jewels are black.
Nib FINE gold Parker Pen nib. It is smooth and slightly springy.
Condition Excellent condition. The nickel trim looks nice in hand but shows plating wear on the cap bands and blind cap. The clip is very clean looking. There's one tool mark and some shallow bite marks on the blind cap. The imprint is easily read. No cracks or chips or dents. The pen is fully restored and working well.
