Product Description
Type High-end modern fountain pen.
Product Name Sonnet (this is the first version with the thin cap bands).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, France -- 1997 (the date code is a clear IP indicating 1997).
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System The pen takes Parker style cartridges and converters. A slide converter is installed.
Color Laque Firedance finish of black and red lacquer in a lovely pattern with 23k gold plated trim. It's a pretty even mix of red and black.
Nib MEDIUM 18k gold nib is smooth with perfect tipping, it's marked M on the feed. It has a little flexibility to it, the sort of springy-ness you find in modern nibs, not like vintage flex.
Condition Near Mint. The pen has light handwear and one or two tiny marks on the cap. The imprint is slightly faint around one of the n's in sonnet and around the date code. No cracks, dings, dents, plating wear, or scratches. It's working perfectly.
