Product Description
Type New old stock fountain pen, refurbished with a new sac.
Product Name "Super 21" .... this was an upgrade to the standard Parker 21, Parker introduced these in 1956 and made them up until 1965. They were a definite improvement on the standard model 21, because they featured the same tubular octanium nib as the 51 Special and the 41. They also have a smaller exposed oval feed area than the regular 21, similar to the 51. The clip is fancier too, and similar to the one used on the 45. And unlike the standard Parker 21s, the plastic is strong and doesn't crack and warp as easily.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – circa 1960 (due to the arrow-clip)
Length 5-5/16".
Filling System Built in aerometric squeeze filler, like the Parker 51 aerometric pens.
Color Red body with a lustraloy (brushed steel) cap with chrome plated trim and a metal cap jewel.
Nib FINE CURSIVE ITALIC grind, steel hooded nib is smooth with nice tipping. See writing sample below. The nib was ground here at PSP by Nivardo Sanchez.
Condition This is basically a New Old Stock pen, refurbished with a new sac, and upgraded with an italic grind. There's a little microscratching on the cap and barrel. There are no cracks or chips, no plating wear, and no personalization. It's working very well.
