Product Description
Type | Very collectible first version of the Parker T1. This pen is best bought and put in a collection and not used. The titanium is very fragile and if something happens to the nib, it cannot be repaired or replaced. For these reasons, Parker did not produce the period for more than a year. |
Product Name | Parker T1 |
Manufacturer and Year |
Parker USA, circa 1970. You can tell it is a first version because the finish is brushed titanium, while the later version was smooth. |
Length | 5-1/8" |
Filling System | Cartridge or converter. A Parker converter is supplied. |
Color | Light colored brushed titanium, gold filled clip and tassies, red jewels |
Nib | Excellent nib, this is probably the medium-fine, lots of iridium and very little wear. The nib adjusting screw is in place. This was originally intended to allow the user to adjust the nib width, but more often that not it caused a crack in the feed. The feed on this pen is not cracked. |
Condition
|
Excellent used condition. No dents on the cap or serious scratches. The only imperfection we could find is a slightly shiny ring on the barrel where the brushed titanium finish is worn a little smooth, probably caused in part by cap posting. Let me repeat the caution above: This pen is best bought and put in a collection and not used. The titanium is very fragile and if something happens to the nib, it cannot be repaired or replaced. |
