Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Debutante, a slightly more upscale version with a "blue diamond" clip and chevron cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1940s (There is no visible date code that we can read).
Length 4-11/16" Debutante size
Filling System Vacumatic filling system, restored here at Peyton Street Pens. This is the late plastic plunger version.
Color Azure Blue, also called Azure Pearl, and sometimes Azure Blue Pearl, with gold plated trim and an ornamental cap band. It has a black cap jewel.
Nib EXTRA FINE 14k Parker Nib. There's a square indentation on the right side of the nib which we associate with using the pen to draw straight lines using a ruler or straight-edge as a guide .... the nib writes just fine and has good tipping material, but the squared notch is visible.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a small, dainty pen in a great color combination. The barrel transparency is excellent. The cap and barrel have light scratching (mostly small microscratches). The cap band looks fantastic. The clip has a little bit of plating wear along the edges of the arrow end. The blue diamond is perfect. The black jewel is lovely. The imprints are clear except for the place where you'd see the date code.
