Product Description
Type | Fountain pen |
Product Name | Parker Vacumatic Standard |
Manufacturer and Year | Parker - 1944 (The imprint of 4 with one dot on the barrel is clear, indicating 3rd quarter 1944. The nib has a 4 date code with three dots, so it's from a little earlier in the year.) |
Length | 5-1/16" inches. |
Filling System |
Vacumatic plastic plunger filler is in excellent working condition. The pen has been restored by us and we will guarantee the filling system for a year. |
Color | Golden pearl with gold filled trim. Black jewel. Blue Diamond clip. The cap band is medium wide, in the rather less than common lined stacked coins (a more slender version of the jeweler's band on the Maxima pens) style. |
Nib | 14k, not very flexible fine nib. Writes smoothly with a wet line. Lots of tipping material in evidence. The nib has what looks like a few tool marks on the top, but we have adjusted and tested it and now it writes very smoothly. |
Condition
|
Very nice condition. The body is smooth to the touch and free of cracks, with only minor marks and signs of normal use. The imprint is good and readable. No brassing except for the high areas on the tip of the clip. Good visibility through the barrel. This is a great pen which should be a dependable writer for years and years to come. |
