Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Junior (this is a full size pen, identified as a junior by the double cap bands and star clip).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1939 (The date code is a clear 9 which stands for 1939.)
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Vacumatic filling system, restored here at Peyton Street Pens. This is the late plastic plunger version and would not be the original filling system.
Color Black cap and barrel with transparent amber striation on the barrel. It has gold filled trim and a short star clip. Two thin cap bands. Two black end jewels.
Nib Medium 14k nib. It has tons of tipping material. It is quite unusual to find a Vacumatic with a nib of this size. The nib has a .8. code on it.
Condition Excellent condition.. The barrel looks great with horizontal capping lines and a little wear around the seamline of the filling system. The cap also looks excellent. The trim and clip are beautiful. The end jewel on the cap has a small scratch at the very tip. The jewel at the end of the barrel looks great. No cracks, chips, dents, dings or serious scratches. There's a bit of a barrel bulge around the filling system, but no cracks or stress marks. The imprints are clear.
