Product Name Parker Vacumatic Junior. The Shadow Wave pattern was meant to go on a lower end vacumatic. This is the larger of the two Shadow Wave models.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1939 (The date code on the barrel is a clear 9 with one dot. This is the year the Junior Debutante transitioned to the Sub-Deb).
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Vacumatic filler in excellent working condition. The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. This has the aluminum "speedline" plunger which is correct for this era.
Color Brown Shadow wave is alternating lengthwise stripes of semi-transparent amber and a gradient of browns. It has a black blind cap, and black end jewels. Gold plated trim with a short star clip and a 1/8" ornate chevron cap band.
Nib FINE 14k nib is smooth. It has good tipping material and writes smoothly.
Condition Excellent condition. Very good barrel transparency. No cracks or personalization. The blind cap is missing its trim (unlike the other Vacumatic models with double jewels, these rings were glued on and they are frequently missing). There are some fine scratches on the barrel. The imprint is clear and easily read.
