Product Description
Type Vintage vacumatic filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Parker Vacumatic Standard, a full length model.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA - 1937 (the date code on the barrel is a clear 27, though the nib is marked 35). Parker made the transition to the Speedline filler in 1937, so this is one of the last lockdowns. That's also the year the nibs changed and said Parker before USA, so this USA-first nib supports the idea that this is one of the last before the changes were made.
Length 5-1/8 inches (Standard size). This model is fatter than the later single jewel Vacumatics.
Filling System Vacumatic lockdown filler. We've restored it and it's working very well.
Color Grey pearl body and cap with chrome plated trim, triple thin cap bands, and the Art Deco Arrow clip.
Nib FINE two tone gold arrow nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. The masking is only slightly worn. The date code is from 1935, so this may be a replacement nib.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There are some light marks on the cap and barrel and some light plating wear here and there on the trim, though no distinct brassing is visible. The barrel clarity is excellent, and the imprint is very clear. The filling system has been fully restored and the pen is working well.
