Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name M200, Old Style with double cap band and no Pelikan logo on the top finial. It resembles the M250 described here, though it lacks the 14k nib. (It's not the hard to find M481 despite lacking the Pelikan logo on the top, because it's got two cap bands.)
Manufacturer and Year Pelikan, Germany. Cap band reads "Pelikan Germany". The M200 demonstrator debuted in 1985, but the band lacks "W. Germany" so it is post unification.
Length 5"
Filling System Piston filling system, tested and working well.
Color Transparent, including transparent derby, with gold colored trim. You can see the filling system through the body.
Nib OBB (double broad oblique). Steel nib is gold plated and smooth with lots of tipping material.
Condition Near mint condition, in box, with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a typical demonstrator that is transparent and shows the inner workings of the filling system. The barrel looks great with just some moisture accumulation. The top of the cap has a blotchy mark under the surface. The cap band has plating wear on the gold spacers between the oblong windows. The clip and clip band are excellent. The imprints are clear.
