Type Fountain pen, collectors edition, very hard to find.
Product Name M810 "Blue Ocean" Collectors Edition. This was one of the first special editions produced by Pelikan, and only 5000 pens were made. Note that the pens were generally engraved with a number on the edge of the crown cap top piece, but this one is missing that detail. We've done a lot of research and have not found any other "Blue Ocean" pens that lack the serial number, so we wonder if the top piece might have been replaced, or perhaps this was a test pen produced in the factory before they applied the serial numbers. It does have the compass engraved on the disc on the piston knob, which was a unique feature of the Collectors Edition.

Filling System Piston-filling system. Tested and working well.
Color Transparent Blue, with gold-plated trim. A real classic.
Nib OBLIQUE MEDIUM 18k gold nib, 2-tone.
Condition Near mint condition. No cracks or chips. There is microscratching on the cap and barrel. The trim has microscratching and polishing marks. There are scattered touches of tarnish/patina on the trim - some of the piston knob disc, and around the crown top and top of the clip. The rest of the trim looks good. No notable scratches or signs of wear. We've tested the filling system and it's working well. The imprints are clear. It comes in a Pelikan box, which is not the original special edition box.
