Product Description
Type Rollerball pen
Product Name Pelikan R400 Souveran
Manufacturer and Year Pelikan, Germany. Likely from the 1980s-1992, based on the "W. Germany" cap band imprint. This is what they call the older style because it lacks a gold plated band at the base of the turning knob (which of course doesn't do anything on the rollerball model except open the pen up for refill replacement).
Length 4-15/16"
Filling System Takes a very standard international rollerball refill, the same one used by Aurora, Delta, Omas, etc. A new refill has been installed.
Color Black cap, green striped barrel, black end pieces, gold plated trim. Pelikan icon on top of the cap.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a rollerball pen in a classic design. The cap and barrel have light scratching. The barrel has light marks caused by the cap lip. The cone has some light plating wear. The clip has a tiny bit of plating wear at the end and along the top ledge. The clip ring has light plating wear around the edge. The top black Pelikan icon is nicely outlined. The imprints are clear.
