Color Sterling silver with an engraved "raw silk" design.
Nib The 18k nib is marked medium, though Japanese mediums are finer than most western mediums.
Condition Excellent + condition. Very slight signs of wear with no dents, dings or personalization. Slight capping marks on the section. We did find the pen had traces of ink on it, so it has been inked. The texture on the surface is really lovely.
Tsumugi refers to a woven silk fabric, made with short-stapled silk fibers. The uneven fibers and handspun quality result in a "rustic" yarn that yields a fabric with a slightly rough, textured surface, yet retains the soft and drapey characteristics of silk.
