Nib The 18k nib is marked fine. Japanese nibs tend to run narrower than their western counterparts, and this tip is quite tiny.
Condition Excellent + condition. Very slight signs of wear with no dents, dings or personalization. There is microscratching on the section, but everything else looks great.
The traditional Koushi grid pattern was commonly used in the Edo period (1603-1868) on doors and room dividers. Different line thicknesses had different meanings, and thin lines such as those used here suggest elegance.
